Here is some of what we have going on this month, to help consultants reach your potential for making a difference.

--- July 2010 ---

Twitter Chat for Consultants

Are you on Twitter? One of the liveliest Twitter chats is the #NPCons chat - a monthly discussion for consultants to Community Benefit Organizations. If you are looking for thought-provoking conversation that will move your consulting practice to new heights (really!), this is the place to be.

Info about the chats is at this link. You will find archives of past chats, as well as blog posts that both summarize old chats and announce new ones.

We hope you will join these amazing conversations!

“Participating in #NPCons - and learning from, joking with and debating my colleagues - is sacred professional development time.” Erica Holthausen, Joppa Communications

Southern California:
Intro to Pollyanna Principled Consulting

What would it look like if your consulting practice reached for your highest potential to make a difference - for your clients and your community?

Join us in Los Angeles on September 23 and find out!

In this brand new 3- hour interactive session, you will try on approaches to aiming your consulting work beyond problem-solving, to reach for what is possible.

This workshop is so new, we don’t even have a web page with details yet! So if you are interested in learning more, drop us a note and we will send you information as soon as we have it. Contact us here

Consulting to Change the World

Our immersion class schedule includes a class in October, and then two classes in early 2011 - one in February, and our special “Management Support Organization” class in January. Click here for class details

As Creating the Future grows, demand for our classes has been increasing as well. In the next few weeks, watch for discussion at our blog, as we ask for input about making the application process for these classes more restrictive. Case Study in Transparency

If you are encouraging your clients to engage their community more deeply, or you are encouraging them to be more transparent in their work, the story of the Name Change at Creating the Future may be a model for doing that work.

Several organizational leaders have shared with us that they are about to make big decisions, and that watching our discussion has given them ideas about how they might engage a broader dialogue.

To learn more about what transparent community accountability looks like in action Read the story here.

That’s it for this month. Please let us know what else you would find useful at this page!
